Shipping & Delivery Policy

A work leaving the studio and arriving somewhere far away is, to us, part of the story — not just logistics. This page tells you plainly how that journey works.

1. Shipping Terms — DAP/DDU

All international shipments from livi.art are sent DAP (Delivered At Place), also referred to as DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid). This means:

  • We arrange and cover the cost of shipping the work to your address.
  • Any import duties, customs taxes, or clearance fees charged by your country are your responsibility, payable on or before delivery.
  • The courier or customs authority in your country will contact you directly if any duty is owed.

2. Customs Classification

Original and limited-edition artworks shipped from livi.art are classified under HS code 9701 (original works of art), which is duty-exempt or reduced-duty in a number of major markets. However, customs treatment is determined by the customs authority in your destination country, not by us, and can vary based on how a work is declared, its value, and local regulations at the time of import. We provide accurate documentation to support the most favourable treatment available, but we cannot guarantee a duty-free outcome in every jurisdiction.

3. Delivery Timelines

  • Domestic (India): 7-10 business day from confirmed payment.
  • International: 10-15 business days, depending on destination, customs processing, and courier. Framed works and larger Originals may take longer due to specialised packaging.

Timelines are estimates, not guarantees — international customs processing is outside our control.

4. Packaging

Every work is packaged to protect it through international transit — acid-free materials, rigid outer casing, moisture protection, and the likes. Framed works are packaged with additional corner and glass protection where applicable.

5. Risk & Insurance

Each shipment is insured for its declared value while in transit. Responsibility for the work passes to you upon delivery. If a work is lost or damaged in transit, see Section 6 below and our Terms of Service for the resolution process.

6. Damaged or Lost Shipments

If your work arrives damaged, do not discard the packaging. Contact us at us@livi.art

  • photographs of the artwork,
  • photographs of the outer and inner packaging,
  • your order/reservation reference.

We will work with our insurer and courier to resolve this — either through replacement (Open/Limited Editions) or a full refund, per our Terms of Service.

7. Address Accuracy

Please ensure your shipping address is complete and accurate at the time of reservation. We are not responsible for delays or additional charges resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address provided by you.

8. Refused or Unclaimed Shipments

If a shipment is refused, or held and unclaimed at customs beyond the courier's storage window, it may be returned to us or, in some cases, destroyed by customs authorities per local regulation. Return shipping costs, where applicable, and any customs charges already incurred are the buyer's responsibility. This scenario is not covered under our damage-based refund policy.
